AM to PM Tutors is owned and run by me, Alisha — a current secondary English teacher based in Bristol. In the image above is my younger sister and me at my graduation in July 2024, where I proudly received my PGCE in Secondary Education from the University of Bristol.
I’ve been working as a qualified teacher in North Bristol since January 2024 and have absolutely loved my teaching journey so far. My passion for education, however, began well before that. I started tutoring in January 2021, shortly after the end of the Coronavirus lockdowns, and quickly saw the powerful impact that one-to-one support can have on a student’s confidence and progress.
That experience inspired me to launch AM to PM Tutors, with a vision of creating a more equitable and accessible learning environment for all students — especially those with additional needs. As both an educator and a business owner, I’m committed to ensuring that every young person receives the support they need to thrive.

AM to PM Tutors is a Bristol-based tutoring service founded in 2022 with a clear mission: to ensure that every student, regardless of their background or individual needs, has equal access to high-quality education. We specialise in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), and our belief in educational equity underpins everything we do.
Our dedicated team of experienced tutors has worked across a wide range of schools in North and West Bristol and in collaboration with the local authority. We also support a growing portfolio of private clients, offering personalised and compassionate tutoring that empowers students to succeed.
Led by our CEO — a currently practising secondary school teacher — we bring classroom expertise, local insight, and a deep commitment to inclusive learning to every session. Since launching, we’ve grown into a small but passionate team, united by our goal to help each student thrive both academically and personally.

Qualifications & Safeguarding
At AMT, the safety and trust of our students and their families come first. This is ensured by:

All tutors holding enhanced DBS checks, on the Update Service and available on request.

Safeguarding-trained: All staff are trained in safeguarding procedures, and our internal policies are reviewed annually to ensure alignment with statutory guidance.

Professional standards: Many of our tutors are qualified teachers, are intending to or are currently undergoing postgraduate teacher training (PGCE/QTS), bringing both academic depth and classroom experience.

Ongoing CPD: We invest in continuous professional development, from trauma-informed practice to SEND strategies, to ensure our team can meet the needs of all learners.
